Hill country

The gatewayto the hills.

Built around a lake and ringed by green hills, Kandy was the last royal capital of Sri Lanka and is a UNESCO World Heritage city. It is home to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, one of the most important Buddhist sites in the country, and makes a natural stop between the Cultural Triangle and tea country.
