Wildlife parks

Where elephantsroam the plains.

Udawalawe National Park surrounds a large reservoir on the edge of the southern dry zone. Its open grassland makes wildlife easier to spot, and it is especially known for elephants. The nearby Elephant Transit Home cares for orphaned calves before releasing them back into the wild.
